A passenger of a car was fatally injured and four others were hurt overnight when the vehicle struck a pole on the South Side in Gresham neighborhood, Chicago police said. Shortly before 2:15 a.m., a white Chrysler 300 was headed south in the 7700 block of South Vincennes Avenue when it struck a pole, police said. A passenger of the Chrysler was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. Four others, including the driver also were injured.
